Tailored Solutions: Custom Manufacturing For Hotel Furniture

Our production encompasses the full scope of typical FF&E items for guest rooms and common areas. That means we manufacture a lot more than casegoods, including upholstered seating, decorative lighting, area rugs, window treatments, vanities, mirrors, and even millwork. The process starts during the shop drawing phase, where our own technical team engineers and draws all the items. Once shop drawings and finishes have been approved, our production team works on selecting the best-suited raw materials and hardware to achieve the perfect end product. We consider factors like your project’s location and climate and any brand or operational requirements, and work with our factory partners to ensure everything has been taken into account.

Every hotel should have unique furniture and millwork pieces tailored to its individual architecture and built to last. The team at Lang & Schwander offers a comprehensive skill set to be able to design furniture that looks great, has excellent functionality and is also durable in a contract setting. Our team of 70 is spread across three offices, and have successfully furnished over 5000 hotel rooms throughout the US, Caribbean, and LATAM.

Logistics

One of the most important aspects of timely project execution is the coordination of logistics. Lang & Schwander has procurement specialists that will oversee all of the shipment process from prior to leaving the factories until received at the property or temporary local warehouse. We will apply for the necessary export licenses and generate all the documentation needed for import. Coordination with our clients is crucial to select the best shipment routes and make sure that the products arrive on-time and within budget. We then support our clients in the import process, providing paperwork and experience from past projects in the region to allow for an efficient transition to the project site.

Installation

Our installation supervisors are assigned to the project from the moment products are in production up until the final punch-list inspection is completed. All our products are marked and coded to allow for efficient staging and installation. Our installation team is versed in the hospitality FF&E field and looks to solve any issues that may come up onsite in an effortless manner. The completion of the installation process is done in close collaboration with our client and local construction crew to allow potential issues to be addressed and solved immediately. Allowing Lang & Schwander to handle the installation process of the products we manufactured will ensure that schedules are kept on track and the end product is installed efficient and professionally. This is achieved by having a cohesive team review shop drawings, design packaging material, review packing lists and stage the whole installation process.

Interior Design

Lang & Schwander has a team of interior designers that can take on various sizes of projects, depending on the clients needs. Sometimes this involves coordinating with a local design team to make sure the specifications match the brand standards and in other cases we are contracted to complete the full scope of interior design. Our team has worked on projects affiliated to several different hotel groups and brands in the United States and Internationally and are eager to get introduced to many more along the way. We believe in rethinking the design process, streamlining specifications and value engineering from the beginning. This ensures budgets and schedules are kept on track
